These Glan Thompson polarizers have beenarranged to permit ther output of the s-polarized beam at 45 &deg from thestraight through p-polarized beam. They provide high polarization purity andhigh transmission in the two emerging beams. These are useful if it is requiredto utilize both linear polarization states . They are mounted in a rectangularmetal cell and surrounded with an absorbing compound.
